PPS Ticket

I parked in a pay and display car park and clearly checked my ticket was displayed on the dashboard but when I returned to the car I had a notice taped to the window saying that my ticket had been face down and I had to pay £100 or £75 if paid within 7 days. All I can think is that when I closed the car door the draft caught the ticket and blew it over. Do I have any grounds to appeal or do I have to pay?

Who issued the ticket, was it from the council or a private parking contractor? Was the ticket headed parking charge notice or penalty charge notice?Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

It is from PPS Premier Parking Solutions so a private company and states Parking Charge number0

As per all private parking companies, just ignore them If you contact them or appeal they will get your address for free and will just send extra bits of scrap paper.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Please follow Peter's advice, this is a scam invoice and is legally unenforceable. PPS are well known scammers and totally toothless.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

Keep the ticket they say you put face down, do not admit to putting it face down.
Ignore the parking company and if in the rare chance they do attempt to sue you for losses, produce the parking receipt at court as evidence that you paid sating as no loss occurred any other charges are an unlawful contractual penaltyHi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
