Good on you - I recently left Eon for the same reason - billing errors on every bill, bad customer service, letter demanding money with no breakdown of useage etc I happended to be in M+S one day when a chap was signing people up. He took my name and address and current provider and that was it. I did have to take a final meter reading and post it off but nothing more. I didnt eevn pay the money outstanding with Eon and the switch still went ahead. I just waited to get a final bill from Eon and a welcome pack from M+S and it was all done. If I am honest I am unsure how M+S ( power is actually via southern electric ) compare cost wise but the customer service so far has been good, its easy to get through on the phone and I got some M+S vouchers for joining. They do a fixed term option and have a price freeze till August 2012.0

Get your annual kwh consumption figures, put them into any accredited comp site, then switch using a cashback site-it takes 4-5 weeks. About 20 minutes work, dob done.
But remember to factor in any possible ETC"s from Eon.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Without your accurate annual kWh readings no-one can help. It will be clearly shown on your bill, or call your supplier. Your electricity looks about right, but gas seems very low or a property with gas CH and DHW. UK average is around 16,500kWh.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks, will try to get correct readings.0

Or just go back a year on your bills and deduct the old reading from the new 12m apart-the result is your annual consumption. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Have got annual usage figures 7734 gas 3096 elec. was given these figures by eon so hope they are right,
will try a comparasion site again later. Any advice please.0 -
