Get your computer hand built - or do it yourself.. then you don't have the worry about the guarantee!

and buy a computer case that is pink - or any old basic one and paint it that..

my boyfriend painted his old computer case pink and purple (well actually his friends at uni did - they're all girls) with acrylic paint - was fine..
  • Hi Guys, I have just read all of your ideas and think i'll initially try for a ready made pink one and will get on to curry's tomorrow and will also follow up a couple of the links but failing that will consider all the other options , I will let you know how I get on. Thanks for all of your ideas and I will look into all of them, once done I will try and find a way of posting a link for a piccie. My little girl came out this evening , a lot earlier than expected as doing so well and I am mighty proud. But first thing she did was go to her room and ask where her computer was! Her birthday is 5th April so I told her she will get it then so I now have to get my bum well and truly in gear x thanks k x
If I told you, you really wouldn't believe it could happen!

Hi, Ebuyer has red cases you could use to move the components of a pc into (in case you don't want to build a whole pc heheh)

failing that you could try buying a normal case with a clear screen on the side and add red lighting inside (but i assume you don't want to go to that trouble!

I wouldn't recommend covering the case with Fablon, extra static around PC components isn't good.

If the you can't get a Pink replacement case from Dabs/Ebuyer as already suggested you could try just buying a clear plastic case (from £15) and transfer the components into it. Then add some Pink lights/fans to light it up, looks cool through the case- I've some girly pink/purple ones!
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:

not that difficult if you know where to look

It will need to be a custom built pc. If your in the northwest I will build it for you I doubt you are as GOS is in london.

the problem will be finding a pink monitor there are keyboards and mice but again they are few and far between. bu they are inexpensive and can be taken apart and painted.

Due to the size of the case the pc's are never any super high speed machines as the motherboards are all in 1 cpu, graphics and sound have 1 memory slot. and they cost quite a bit to buy the parts due to size but It should be good for internet and stuff.

I dont know of anywhere in the UK that sell pink full or midi ATX cases.

your only option I think would be to find yourself a case and take your idea to your local car body shop and see if they could do their magic on the case.

dont do it your self with spray cans the result wont be very good get some one who knows how to lay the paint down properly to get a finish that will really pop. you could even go the whole hog and go metalic or somthing.

as for comapnies making pink cases I dont think there is enough demand for them untill a few years ago they were all manky pc white then started to go grey and now we have black and silver becasue it was decided that to make people buy pc's more they would be needed to look like home entertainment appliences and they used to be black and are now silver. Untill the mass of TVs and dvd players ect are available in pink as the major colour and no one buys silver PC's will not be pink.

buy her a PSP or PS2 they will be comming out in pink before christmas
