should i add interest as a bargaining tool?

Hi hope this is the right place to post!
I have recently recieved an offer from my bank of £430 on my initial claim of £825.
I will decline this offer, however should i add the interest to the charges in the hope that the bank will make me an improved offer nearer to or matching my initial claim?
I would quite happily accept the full amount as settlement without interest but i am quite willing to pursue the matter to the courts. In which case is it prudent to add the interest in the event that the dispute does go to court?
In the end all i want is my money back!
Thanks to all in advance for your opinions.
Best Regards,
Tuggers.

You cannot ask for interest until you file a claim. In your rejection letter put a line saying something like -
I will continue to pursue the balance through the courts if neccassary, at which point I will add costs and statutory interest for which you will be liable.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -
