Export advice needed

I have had an enquiry from a buyer in Sweden wishing to buy mobile phones from me, in small quantities only. He has a very good feedback (100%) and has purchased some reasonably expensive goods too, they are not all 99p types to bump feedback. Just to clarify, he doesn't want me to post them to his daughter in Nigeria and he doesn't want to pay by Western Union!!!
I've never sold to anywhere outside the UK, so....

If any of you have experience of selling to Europen Countries, I would appreciate any advice you can give.

Specifically, what to look out for - problems you have experienced etc

And what postage methods, so that I can prove it arrived maybe?

Will I be able to receive a Direct Bank Transfer from another country??

Any advice will be much appreciated... :j

I sell a lot abroad but not high price items.

In most cases foreign buyers can do a bank transfer but it will cost them quite a lot of money so they may prefer to use paypal as they can pay you in sterling yet it leaves their account in their own currency so it is very easy.

There are a few posting options you can use, check out the Royal Mail website for overseas mail:

Don't forget as well that you will need to cover yourself against complaints if the package gets stopped by customs. Some sort of disclaimer in your auction that the buyer is responsible for all import taxes or local taxes as appropriate.

    Good luck!

Sweden has been part of the EU since 1995, so i don't think import taxes would be a problem ;-)
I've sold mobiles to Spain, Italy and Portugal using Royal Mail International Signed For. You can tell the person at the Post Office the value of the item and increase the insurance cover. The buyers have paid by PayPal.
