Hmmm, good info, impossible to compare with main player stuff but still worth a punt methinks.

The other question remains unanswered tho', is there a buy it now solution ie?, a wireless camera/monitor/parking sensor system on the aftermarket??
    Cheers

What about trading your car in for something like a Prius with a factory fitted one? There's a lot of them around now.
I picked up a Prius a little over a year ago with one. Didn't particularly want it, but it just so happened the model I saw had it. It is a fantastic aid. The automatic parking is just a gimmick and a waste of time, but the camera, with it's overlay lines of where the car will go is really useful once you get the confidence to use it. I now park without looking back, but do still glance in the mirrors!
I would think fitting an aftermarket one would be disappointing if you've seen the factory ones. Plus, as already noted, you need a screen somewhere, which will be assumed to be a desirable sat-nav if left in view.

Changing car to get a reversing camera seems a bit drastic lol. To answer the other question there are plenty if all in. One kits with camera screen and cabling on ebay, check the reviews before buying. Don't bother with the wireless cameras the picture quality tends to be terrible and some have to be mounted inside the car
