Just a quick query i am hoping someone can advise on , i have had a new gas meter fitted which measures in m3 , but i cant recall what my old meter they took away measured in (ie ft3 or m3).
If there was a difference would the company that fitted the new meter make my supplier aware if there was a difference in the cubic measurement, i am with EON.
My old meter was fitted in 1995 and was recently exchanged by the national grid meter exchange programme.
Any thing relevant would be gratefully received.

The supplier will be given all the details about the new meter. When you get your next bill check it shows the new meter and details of the exchange (readings).IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

Or in the case of British gas I entered my readings online as I do monthly, and received a call from them to tell me I had inputted the gas reading wrong as I had entered a figure lower than the previous one, I then had to tell them the serial number of the new meter, apparently the meters are not fitted by BG, and the paperwork hadn't gone through yet, then after receiving the bill I had to inform them it was now metric and not imperial like the old one.0

It will be clear from your previous bills if the meter was imperial or metric-look at the conversion to kWh.
A card should have been left showing the closing and opening readings. No free lunch, and no free laptop
