In post today I had my voucher/application accepted for a Free UK One Night Break  I dont and cant take time of ffor a break and I filled out the form for free fuel.

Im dreading the future with British Gas

If you sign up for anything from a rep, without checking up exactly what is on offer, you have only yourself to blame; especially as you have a cooling off period to carry out some checks.

You surely don't base decisions on major expenditure on promises of 'free fuel'.
  • If you're still within the time limit (can't remember how long it is) that you legally have to change your mind, then phone up (and write to) BG to cancel the switch. It probably won't make any difference to them carrying on with it, so also phone (and write to) your current supplier and get them to record the fact that you have told BG not to proceed and that if they do, you have requested nPower to ignore it.

edit: Cardew beat me to the mention of the cooling off period ;)

I did actually go into in much depth Im not a idiot you know, He gave me a package with the info pack inside and the T&Cs I read it after the 30minute talk with the rep on my doorstep.

I followed all instructions to the letter and yes I got my voucher but not the free fuel voucher but a night away and thats not what I was getting as you had an option of what you wanted to have a free night away or fuel or a spa, and I wanted the fuel, and they posted me the wrong voucher.

If they cant even send out the correct voucher what hope is their?

So I can hardly blame myself can I, maybe you misread my first post.

The vouchers are sent out by a promotions company, not by BG themselves. If you ring the agency up they should be able to send you a new voucher.
