Which do you guys think is more effective?
Was debating buying a small electric heater from tesco 1.1KW rating and running it in my room when i need some heat.
But alternatively i was thinking turn off radiators in house except my bedroom and turn that on instead.
I'm wondering which would be cheaper to run do you think as a guess?
Thanks for any input

It depends!
However.
If the CH is gas or oil, then probably it'll be cheaper to use it.
It will be lots less efficient running only one radiator, but probably not right down to 40% or under which it'd have to hit to get to the same as normal electricity rates.
If you have gas, the best way to do this is to try it, and read the meter after several hours doing it one way, then the other.0 -
Electricity is about 3 times the price of gas.No free lunch, and no free laptop
