Anyone heard of this company?

Newbie here, but after reading a bit I've rapidly got the drift!
I've been ticketed by "Car Parking Enforcement Company Ltd" I was in a marked area (I discovered later, but the weather made it pretty impossible to see as such) and the fees go 60, 90 and then +135 after 14 days. Pretty insane really. Noone else was there and the bloke had the cheek to run out and slap it on my window as I got in my car then he drove off!
Company is registered in London, but this happened "up north"
Same advice applies as ever?

As you point out the registered office is is old Gloucester Street, WC1 but that's an accommodation address.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

The company is a new one on me but I have come across the names before in relation to another private parking company based supposedly in the City but actually run from Bradford. I also believe you'll find links to a claims handling company operated by one of the guys. This seems to be something of a pattern with Leeds/Bradford PPC's. Don't be fooled either by the fact that one is no longer a director, as far as I know they live at the same address - or did until reasonably recently.
As for how to deal with them? Ignore everything unless you are the lucky 1 in 10,000 who gets receives a court claim form.
