Hi,
Anyone help with an Experian online report?
Was hoping to transfer my balance with HSBC to MBNA but got turned down and looking into my credit report i've noticed the following under searches:
9x ADMIRAL INSURANCE SERVICES LIMITED
5x CAMELOT GROUP PLC
All classed as "Unrecorded Enquiry"
Any idea what they're for as a few are within a few days of each other and as i've not got Admiral insurance and think i've only done the lottery twice online so no idea why these companies are checking my file regularly?

Maybe the insurance you do have is a subsidiary of Admiral insurance. If the powers that be have to enquire nine times then it sounds like some system, either human or computer, is going wrong.
I once appeared five times on my own credit report trying to pay for it online. The post code checking software was rejecting my address.
How much did you stake on the lottery to collect 5x credit search from Camelot ?

PS.
If you did not win then it was a poor investment.0 -
'An Unrecorded Enquiry is a record of a search made for non-lending purposes. It is included on your report so that you know how has looked at your information but it will not be provided to lenders making a search or taken into consideration as part of a lending decision.'
This is in the report guide on the online system. I don't think it should affect your credit card applications.
I've got 3 from Royal and Sun Alliance - I think it has to be for a quote. A bit keen really! >:(0 -
lol
All my investments end up being poor
anyway, twice a few of us chipped in and spent £5 on rollovers (didn't win) and while i do have 2 insurances for a car and a bike, ones with norwich union direct and the second being direct choice, neither seem connected with admiral... only thing i can think of would be when i applied for a quote, but would they really do a credit check for a quote? and i certinly didn't apply for 9 insurance quotes, lol ??? strange

Hi,
I have had the multiple Admiral searches aswell but it for quotes via Elephant Insurance which is part of Admiral, apparently a search is generated every time you make a change to the quote ie different car, or additional drivers, limited mileage etc, they are all unrecorded so will not matter when applying for credit

I received a copy of credit record from Experian today and had the same thing. 5 unrecorded enquiries in 2 months from MNBA - one for each time they messed my name change on my credit card. >:(
When I phoned MNBA to complain they also assured me that it would have no effect on my credit rating.
However, I was refused a credit card from Sainsburys last week on the grounds that I had too many credit searches. I have not applied for any other credit for over a year.
I have demanded that MNBA remove all the searched from my records, which they have agreed to do0
