Contract taken out with a company that has gone into liquidation

Hi all,
I took out a 24 month advertising contract with a company that I have just found out has gone into liquidation. It appears that they have set up under new name or have sold my contract to another company.
To be honest I have found the advertising very poor, they first of all didn't get my advert up and I only found out when I went to check out the place it was up in, they are supposed to change my advert every three months and its been almost a year and nothing has been done. The new company has just sent me an email telling me I'm in arrears when I agreed with the original company that due to my advert not starting when it should have that I wouldn't start paying for my contract until Feb 2012.
Is there anyway I can get out of this now that they are actually in liquidation?
Many Thanks

try and find out the administrator of the liquidated company if you cant speak to a solicitor as your contract was with a company that is no longer trading0

Check the terms of the contract you had with the company thet has gone into liquidation. If there is no right of assignment in that contract you will not be bound by the new company.0
