Exactly. So I covered that for you in post#4?
You have just 2 choices. Wait until the money becomes 'available' again. Or ensure Phones4u get rid of the 'hold' on your account - as Barclays won't.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

someone from phones4u is contacting the finance department for more info and they are going to call me again tomorrow. really doing my heading now, surely it is a 5 minute job to release the payment.0 -

It is if they know what they're doing ..... and can be bothered?
But if you started it last Friday - it may well drop off naturally tomorrow / Fri. When Barclays software gets fed up waiting for the proper debit to arrive, it returns the money back to available. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
may be a silly question but would it show in my account tomorrow morning if i check at like 1am? or is that too earlyIt is if they know what they're doing ..... and can be bothered?

I don't know about Barclays - but most banks updates run between midnight - 0300hrs.
Personally - I'd just set the alarm a bit early!
You could ask Barclays when the authorisation will drop off? I would guess Fri night latest. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
