TP Activity Toys in Administration??

I heard on the radio this morning that TP Toys have gone into Administration only 3 weeks before Christmas???

I've been calling all morning but the phones aren't being answered and the facebook page has not been updated since Monday and the website seems to still take orders?? :(

What happens to people who have ordered and not been delivered to yet???

Also, if they company is shutting down what happens with the 5 year warranty?

There are different outcomes depending on what happens to the company. It may be sold as a going concern, or it may be shut down.

In the worst case, if the company closes, you will become an unsecured creditor and need to contact your credit/debit card company.

Again, worst case, if the company closes they obviously can't honour these. Someone more knowledgable may know if a credit card company has liability for the warranty.

The administrator has asked people awaiting orders to get in touch. I expect contact details will appear on the TP Toys website shortly.

If they are in administration rather than liquidation, it's likely they're trying to save the business by restructuring or selling it on as a going concern. If this is the case you order will be valuable to them, hopefully they will be honoured. If it goes into liquidation, you're stuffed.

  • I see there's a "TP Activity Toys in Administration" page on facebook now for consumers!

Hopefully there'll be some updates soon :?
