Moved house need to change supplier
Options
Got keys to new place yesterday (At last) as have been back at folks for 12 months I haven't taken a supplier with me.
My Vendors were with Npower for G & E but after doing some comps, scottish Power Online look better for me. I have taken pics of meter readings.
1. I presume that I will have to contact Npower & confirm I'm using their supply & give them the readings, do I have to sign up to a min contract or can I just take their std tariff till I get a bill then I sort out my switch.
2. What details will I need to switch, is it just the serial numbers off the meters etc.
3. Npower phone number would be helpful.
Thanks

Yes you will have to contact nPower and register. There is usually a notice period required of 28 days, but this is built into the switching process so you don't need to be concerned by it.
Information varies from supplier to supplier, but I would recommend taking down your serial numbers and obtaining your MPAN and MPR. These can be found on a bill, or by contacting xoserve for gas (they manage the service on behalf of the regional gas networks) 08706081524 and your local MPAS service for electricity (http://www.energylinx.co.uk/mpan_request.htm).
If your property is a fairly new build xoserve may not have your MPR, in this instance you would need to check who your meter was installed by and contact them to obtain your MPR.
nPower's tel no is 0808 156 0056.0
