PPI on Overdraft

Hi

Has anyone else ever had this on their overdraft?
I was being charged £3.60 per month since 1993 and have only discovered recently what it was. I have subsequently cancelled it and made a complaint to my bank.
Do you think I would have a case for misselling PPI as I do not recall ever requesting this?

    Hi

Bumping this thread up for you, to make sure you receive the correct advice, but in my opinion you can make a reclaim also on overdraft PPI, hopefully someone will be along soon to clarify on this, good luck.;)

  • I second what di3004 said, claim it back!

You have grounds, I've got two claims currently going through Barclays regarding Overdraft PPI! There is another thread on here regarding this - some people have been successful in claiming Overdraft Protection Insurance.
  • Claim it back!!! I did and won, so did my sister and mother-in law.

    Good luck

    sorryitsme,

I've had a barclays overdraft of up to £1900 for as long as I can remember, I never signed up for ppi but it's on the account.

Tell me, is it the standard forms that you send them? Also, did they shut your account after your claim as i've heard a few horror stories ? I don't really want to change from Barclays as they have always been pretty good to me. Thanks in advance, Paul.

    Succesful claims :-

    MBNA - £3500 Paid out
LPF (Barclaycard) - £650 Paid Out
Capital One - £22 Paid Out
    Barclaycard - £1300 Paid Out
    Citi - £??????
  • I complained over the phone and they sent the documents.

I have banked with them for over 25 years and still do.

My complaint went back to 1998.

They have not lowered my overdraft limit either.
