having your items substituted isn't always a bad thing - if you've ordered the value/basic line - the substitution is generally the next step up!! what is more annoying is when they don't substitute (saying nothing similar available) and you know it's because it would cost them too much profit. mr t did this to me three weeks in a row recently, on the third occasion i went to the store that sends the delivery and filled a trolley with items that would have been suitable for substituting for my missing items, i then took the trolley to the cs and asked to see the home shopping mgr. needless to say i ended up getting the substitutions at the price i would have paid for the original items i ordered!! worth doing as i had run out of some of the items that they didn't deliver, so actually had to go to the shops to get them anyway. the next week, they substituted my unavailable items properly - result!!!!
should have made it bit clearer - if you have an online order with tescos or asda, if they have to substitute an item, if it is more expensive than the one you ordered you don't have to pay any extra. ie if you order an item from the value line and it's subbed with a more expensive item, you only pay the price for the value item.0 -
I think I don't know if I want to risk placing a xmas delivery, I will be stuffed if it goes wrong.0
