I have been using microsoft money since 2007 and ran a report last week to see how much my grocery shops were on average and they came to an average of £47 per week and includes all cleaning products and smellies too. There are only 2 of us and a cat. This include our dinner parties and vino and 4 years of christmas food. Very pleased. I shop generally in morrisons and lidl's for the weekend offers only and stock up my small freezer.Food and Smellies Shop target £50 pw - managed average of £49 per week in 2013 down to £38.90 per week in 20160

we spend £40 per week and £13 of that is nappies and baby wipes. I shop at asda and lidl. I get a lot of our meat now from lidl and wait until they have their weekend half price deal. I can get 500g of lean mince steak for £1.34 can't get that anywhere else. I find the meat really goo quality. I do have a local farmers market but find that it is more expensive rather than cheaper to get meat and veg. Get laundry power when it is on sale. I love the pink surf detergent and get a big box of 90 washes which last us 6 months for about £9 and even less if I have a unilever voucher. We always have great meals and make everything from scratch apart from the odd night off. Asda is o.k. for some things but meat and veg aren't those things.0

i spend about £12.50 a week (or £40 a month) for 1 person for food and cleaning products indoors.
it a tight squeeze plus hard going at times but i manage, especially with special offers, economy items, whoopsied items plus with using my discount card for the shop i work in.
i find i have to really watch out for the bargains though, and grab them while i can esecially non perishible stuff and things like non bio washing powder.
will need to start to go to aldis soon as i not been. be good to see what i can save. it quite a fair walk or a bus though. worht a try to see how i do.0 -

There's me and my OH and we have a maximum budget of £23 per week(which includes shampoo/loo roll/toothpaste etc). We do grow our own veg, make most things from scratch and I don't eat any meat. I've been writing down everything we've spent since March of this year and so far we're just over £200 in credit.:j
