Hi

I recieved a letter from MBNA on 8th sept saying they would contact me in 6 wks to advise amount of refund and to arrange payment, 6 weeks went and no word from them. I phoned them and they said that the payments would be made by end of Nov, so on the 29th Nov i called them to be told it wouldnt be by the end of Nov - but it would be paid to me by the end of this week. I was told if i called on tuesday (yesterday) they should be able to tell me the amount. well I phoned and the advisor told me that I couldnt have been told this as they are advising everyone it will now be 13th January. I refused to accept this and questioned the advise given by their staff ? I asked to speak to a manager, but one wasnt available....I have now been promised a call back by a manager this afternoon....Im doubtful this will happen but if it does, does anyone have any advise on what i can say to get them to honour the deadlines i was given by them ???? Have read other threads where people have been paid out quite quickly, so am a bit peeved with MBNA. Thank you

    Hi there

I would either contact the CEO or ask your local MP to contact them for you.

Maybe this will help push it quicker for you, good luck.

  • Thank you Di, all sorted now, they called, were very apologetic, gave me the amount and they are doing a transfer and the money should be in my bank account by C.O.B tomorrow...........although annoyed at the time it has taken, I cant fault the manager I spoke to today.
  • oh and feeling in a good mood, I brought a £1 scratch card and won £25...they say it comes in 3's so im hoping the Lottery Rollover tonight is ALL MINE:beer:

I have contacted Ian O'Doherty on two seperate occasions regarding to seperate loans and got two personal replies from him and both times the money was in the account within 48 hours. If only Lloyds could be this good!
