Hi guys, i have read or rather tried to read previous posts about this heating system but i am struggling as they seem to have made me very concerned about my heating system!!
I am not technically minded and the terms people are using in their posts and the information in the instuction books are going over my head. From what i understand this heating system is not great!!
I have just moved into a new build two bed house (2 weeks ago) and i have no idea how to use this system efficiently so i do not have a huge bill.
If someone could please explain it to me in lay mans terms i would be very greatful. I have also emailed NIBE and requested a consultation although again from previous posts i gather this may not help!
Thank you for your time

It seems likely that this is a air-source heatpump, which is a bit unusual in that it sucks air in from the house, and exhausts it out the roof or other vent.
Just think of it as a boiler.
First thing to work out is how much it's costing you at the moment.

Hi, ask the guys what you want to know in this thread (below), explain you are a newby to this type of heating and i'm sure they will help you. Good luck with it. I have an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) myself but i think it's a different system to yours. A Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5kw air to water supplying 7 radiators.

Hi Sammy.
We know all about these NIBE units......we have a faceboo page calle NIBEBOILERPROBLEMS,
The basics if you have a NIBE 360p is that you should use it on summer setting when you only need hot water and no central heating,Spring/Autumn Setting for most of winter as this setting will not use the immersion element(super expensive at 6kw an hour) and winter setting when the system cannot cope with heating and hot water..
Unfortunatley these systems seem not to like temperatures below 8C and you will probably find that you will have to pt it on winter setting for most the winter...which will cost you a bomb...
Do you have gas in your home, what size is your home <are you in housing association and finally good luck...0
