DLA ending - being replaced by Personal Independence Payment

Hi,
I thought MSE'rs may be interested in reading the governments latest proposal to end DLA and replace it with a new benefit from 2013.
The information is on the DWP's website here http://www.dwp.gov.uk/policy/disability/personal-independence-payment/
As it's still being drafted, maybe now is a good time to contact your MP if this will have a negative impact on you or your family/friends.
My interest in this purely from a welfare side due to my job, I only found about these proposals today and was surprised it wasn't being discussed more on MSE. This would lead me to believe that the consultation is not that widespread and it may come as a shock to many people.
