Npower.....what a rip off!

I was approached in a Leeds supermarket in July 2011 by an Npower salesman informing me that if I was to switch suppliers I would be guaranteed a fixed price tariff of £72 a month for a year. He told me that every power supplier was hiking up prices in October but if I was to make the switch now, I would be exempt from these increases. So imagine my surprise when Npower increased my tariff to £105 per month when the increases took place! On contacting them to complain, they stated they had no paperwork processed that mentioned the deal I was offered and that no such deal existed! My complaint has now been passed to an investigations team.

NO COMPANY WILL OFFER YOU A GUARANTEED FIX PRICE TARIFF OF £72 A MONTH FOR A YEAR
What they offered was a guaranteed fixed unit rate for a year pence per kw
Did you think you could use as much gas and electric as you wanted for £72 a month
