use 4"x2" ,then you can put in 100mm fibre glass,for soundproofimg and insulation,and better if installing door casing.A thankyou is payment enough .0

Most of North America is built on /of 2" x 4" stud walls.Nice to save.0

Once you have the stud wall up and the insulation in Cover BOth sides of it in plastic, then put your plaster board on this reduces the amount of Noise as well.
