Windscreen washers

Hi all,

OK, you know when you pull the lever to wash water over your windscreen, well it makes a noise (well it does on my megane). Mine has stopped working and the noise has stopped too.

Have looked for a fuse for it but cant find one on the car, does anyone think it could be the pump?

TIA, Paul.

2005 Renault Megane.

Silly answer time: Have you filled it? Was it frozen?

It could well be your pump or the fuse - normally a few other random electricals will have stopped working too if it's the fuse.

What car is it?! Soooo bored of people not mentioning basics in threads about their cars developing faults.

Anyway, if it's the pump then scour breakers yards, scrap yards or ebay for a new washer bottle assembly. It's normally a simple plug, a couple of botls and a pipe or two to fit a replacement one.

Yes its full mate, and not frozen for sure.

There are one or two randoms as you say, the cigarette lighters not working and the lights for the AC and rear demister are not working either. I'll have to pull all the fuses out one by one to double check..

I did say 2005 Renault Megane in my first post too mate, if you read properly maybe you wont be soooo bored.

Thanks for the reply I'm gonna try and fix tomorrow. Paul.
