I'm confused lol! Why would someone not want to earn a wage but work? Are they not just working for nothing then? Or does that mean that some SE are working the minimum in order to recieve full benefits while not actually earning any ££? Not sure I see the point.
For some people, they set up a job they actually enjoy really as a hobby anyway, so they get the tax credits for "working" for X hours a week, doing cake-making / jewellary making etc, and get to enjoy their hobby as well....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Do you think the move to Universal Credit will be an excuse for the government to reduce certain benefits, for example, would the amount that used to be for children (tax credits) go down?
Would seem to me that this will be a perfect way for them to cut a lot of the benefit rates as well as putting them altogether at the same time?0
