    For some people, they set up a job they actually enjoy really as a hobby anyway, so they get the tax credits for "working" for X hours a week, doing cake-making / jewellary making etc, and get to enjoy their hobby as well.

    Please, I want to be a vodka taster, im real good at it but twice a year will do me for self employment..................can do more hours if required.
  • Do you think the move to Universal Credit will be an excuse for the government to reduce certain benefits, for example, would the amount that used to be for children (tax credits) go down?

    Would seem to me that this will be a perfect way for them to cut a lot of the benefit rates as well as putting them altogether at the same time?
