in Credit cards
Anyone got one?
Deluded as to why they would offer an AMEX card when Costco only accept Cash or Debit card for payments!
Also there is a £20 per year fee.
Ok cash back rates though.

Cant quite figure out the point of the Costco card.
Pushed as 1% on all purchases, 2% on most restaurants and 3% on most travel arrangements.
Brilliantly, you apparently have to get the card to find out what qualifies as most restaurants.
Far safer going for the 25 pound a year platinum card, as Ive just done, which gives 1.25% cashback on all purchases including Costco, and 2.5% on everything one month a year, your card anniversary month.
Also 2.5% for the first 3 months you have it upto a max spend of 4000 quid I think.0 -

I think the 'most' is just to cover their backs if there is a screw up because a restaurant/travel merchant account has been set up incorrectly
(ie the withdrawn MBNA Amex Cashback card that gave 1.5% at Supermarkets, you didn't get 1.5% at Asda Online grocery shopping due to an error on the merchant account used by Asda)0 -
Just be aware that the 1% cashback tier is capped at £300 earnings, the other tiers are not capped at all...Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0

Actually you only get 0.625% cashback at Costco with the Platinum Cashback card - it's classed as a "warehouse retailer" (I guess because they have massively cut their merchant fee for them). Read your terms and conditions0 -
