We're in the process of selling the lease to our fish & chip shop. It's at the stage where the LL's solicitor had to change 2 words on a document (think it's called a licence to assign) and send it back to our solicitor. It's been 3wks now and dispite a number of letters from our solicitor we haven't heard anything.
We're called them ourselves a few times. So has the agent. So has the LL (or so he claims).
They are just not responding AT ALL and I'm getting very fraustrated and stressed about the whole thing. As soon as I have this document I am able to exchange contracts with the buyer who is getting very impatient as the whole thing has been going on for 6mths now.
Today our solicitor sent another letter threatening to report them to the law society so we'll wait a few days for the outcome of that but I would like to know what else I can do?
