That site has a link to another one of their sites (http://www.logicalmart.com), which seems to be a similar set up. It looks like there are related companies operating in Hong Kong, Malaysia and the UK.

There doesn't seem to be a registered address on the websites, so the first thing I'd do is try to work out exactly which business your sales contract is with, and then enforce it (if they're in the UK). I'm not exactly sure how you'd do that, though.

The uk2usa.co.uk website says that it is "Protected by copyright law protection act" (which appears to be US legislation - not Hong Kong, Malaysian or British) and also has the Switch debit card logo, despite the copyright year being 2008 and the fact that Switch was re-branded as Maestro in 2002.

It all sounds very dodgy to me... I'd give Trading Standards a call to see if they can offer any advice.

Can't you just make a claim with the courier?

If they (genuinely) haven't received the return, it's hardly fair them having to refund you!

I trust it has adequate insurance ?
