back-up software website or similar

I'm looking for some kind of back-up software website for backing up data from my laptop. My main concern at the moment is my favourites as I don't really have anything else on it to back up [yet], I don't really want to have to start from scratch again as I've had to recently.
I've had a look at Adrive.com and SkyDrive and neither appear to have this facility. Or am I missing something?
I also like to avoid purchasing some kind of hardware for the time being as well, maybe in the future though and if there are any alternatives than would be OK for now.
Can anyone recommend anything?

Just for backing up favourites in your browser? Try Xmarks:
http://www.xmarks.com/
Or if you're using firefox it now has built-in favourites (and history, and password) synchronisation.
For a full backup of your documents I highly recommend Crashplan:

Yes, mainly for backing up favourites in my browser.
I'm currently using Internet Explorer. Not sure if it's worth downloading Firefox though just for storing favourites. The thing I'm thinking about is that this may not allow me to transfer them back onto Internet Explorers browser, so may not be much use.
I'll check out Xmarks and Crashplan.

Overkill for just your favourites folder.
Copy the whole folder to a USB stick, or CD, or DVD.....0 -

Firefox is a better browser, anyway, so why not just use that instead?!
Seriously, though, if you want to import Firefox bookmarks into Internet Explorer (or vice versa), instructions are here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Import-or-export-favorites-in-Internet-Explorer0 -
I was using Firefox last year though the IT guy at my brothers work place advised me to use Internet Explorer along side Microsoft Security Essentials as it will give better protection apparently.
Will have a look at your link at some time as well.
Thanks again!0 -

Should do the trick!
Alternatively, there are "online bookmarking" services where you save your bookmarks there so you can log in to your account and access them anywhere. I haven't used them myself, but there are quite a few relevant results in this Google search: http://www.google.com/search?q=online+bookmarks
Or something like Dropbox where you could export/import your bookmark files to a folder in My Documents that gets shared to every PC Dropbox is installed on. You can also access your files via their website.0 -
