How do I know if I have a room sealed or open flue combi boiler?

Hi I have a combi boiler in my kitchen. I want to ask my landlord to put mouse mesh over exterior air bricks which are placed low on the kitchen wall. (due to mice getting in). I've read that you are not supposed to do that if a gas applaince in the room needs ventilation. I don't have a gas cooker but have a combi-boiler…

I see them occasionally...suck your breath out if your too close when they fire up
Massive ventillation requirements in a compartment too.
Thankfully, I see fewer & fewer as time goes by.
