Scottish power charges
Dear Moneysavingexperts
I have recently switched my dual fuel from Scottish power too Npower. Having submitted my final electric and gas readings I recently recieved my final bill only to find they have charged me £20 for cancellation of gas and a further £25 for cancellation of electricity. Is this standard practice? I was contracted for 12 months and the cancellation was outside this period. All advice greatly recieved.

Hi eljacko,
It is most likely that your 12 month contract matured on to either another tariff or an extension to the original.
If you want to e-mail me with your details I will look in to this for you and if the fee's are invalid these can be removed.
