Extend season ticket?
Hi, hope somebody can help with this one.
I currently have an annual season ticket from Stevenage to Kings Cross (about six months through). Up until now I've completed the rest of my journey to Bankside using Bus or Tube and a PAYG Oyster card.
But now there's a new South Bank exit to Blackfriars station which means I could do St Pancras to Blackfriars instead on the FCC service.
What's the best (i.e. cheapest) way to do this. Is it possible to extend my season ticket to go to Blackfriars (it says "London Terminals" but I'm going past Farringdon)? Otherwise should I buy another season from St Pancras to Blackfriars or use Oyster on the FCC service?

Mine says "London Terminals" and I've used it to get to London Bridge, London Cannon Street & London Victoria. I always assumed it was valid for any station in London.
However, as it's only valid on Southeeastern services, and not FCC or other train operators.
I believe you can load season tickets onto Oyster Cards for travel within London.0 -
It's not. The stations it's valid at are determined by which direction you're travelling in. A London terminals ticket is not valid through the Thameslink section.Gordon_Hose wrote: »Mine says "London Terminals" and I've used it to get to London Bridge, London Cannon Street & London Victoria. You can load railcards and TfL Season travelcards but not National Rail season tickets.Gordon_Hose wrote: »I believe you can load season tickets onto Oyster Cards for travel within London.
You can exchange your season ticket for one that's valid to Blackfriars. Whether that's cheaper than Oyster PAYG I don't know.rdwarr wrote:What's the best (i.e. cheapest) way to do this. Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0 -
Ok, in that case, it depends how much you pay not to use the bus/tube and how much an FCC season ticket between St Pancras and Blackfriars is.0

There is no extra charge on Thameslink, my ST is valid through the London stations.0
