Please could someone help me with my complaint with EON
I WAS a dual fuel customer with EON but since all this I have changed provider
In July this year I decided it was only right i have some protection for my boiler and central heating care so I signed up to a £3 a month protection plan with EON - they dont advertise this one well and try to get you into the £10.99 one - wish I had joined that one now as clearly EON wish to fleece you either way.
In October I thought best to get my boiler serviced so I paid £65 and had an engineer come the next day. All serviced, no problems, he noted to me that my fan was noisy but it could last as long as the boiler did.
Came home the following day to find no heating....the fan had gone - how bizarre that is!!! So another £100 before EON would come out, I put a complaint in and find out that it is all in my terms and conditions nothing I can do about it....well so be it, caught out, change provider and end it.
Before the switchover even goes through
I come home yesterday to find the central heating gone again...another £100, another engineer, another fault - not connected to the last one - funnily enough!!!
So today I have tried to speak to complaints...they wont speak to me on the phone I have to write - what age are they living in.
Does anyone have any advice for me..apart from pay the full £16.99 a month
This just doesnt seem right to me, how can a service of a product lead to it going twice with different faults within one month? I quite like conspiracy theories this seems to be another one.
My advice....steer clear of EON surprisingly they are happy to take your money but dont want to give you the customer service in return.
Where can I take my complaint? Any ideas
One VERY cold Tony

Hi Tony
I'm sorry you've had problems with your central heating.
The plan you signed up to in July is the CHC100. This was our most basic level of central heating cover. It was offered as a trial to customers not interested in any of our other packages.
The monthly payment of £3 only guarantees individual call outs will cost £100. This is for both parts and labour.
There's no service included. Multiple call outs for unrelated faults will each cost £100.
If you believe the two faults were related then you're absolutely right to complain. Details of our complaints process are on our website.
A Specialist will be appointed to deal with your complaint and they'll liaise directly with you.
You can call to initiate the complaint. However, it often helps with complaints of a technical nature to write down the details so as to avoid any misunderstandings.
This also provides you with a paper chain should the issue not be resolved immediately.
Additionally, the head honcho of our Central Heating Services regularly reviews individual complaints for ways to improve the service we offer. Written complaints will ensure he sees what's been going on and can act accordingly.
Sorry you weren't happy with the service you received Tony but hope this points you in the right direction.
