Urgent Cancellation/Travel Insurance help needed

Hi,
Two days ago I booked for me, my husband and the baby to go to Disneyland Paris. This included return Eurostar from Waterloo and 3 nights in Explorers Hotel (12-15 March). This was a total of £294 or thereabouts.
I now need to cancel and have just checked, the holiday is 100% non refundable!
I can't afford to lose the money, is there any way around this? I took out travel insurance but didn't realise it was so strict!
Please, please help!

Not I think unless medical reasons,or death of close relative.Very quick answer, not exact.Think this is pretty standard.0

hi can you sell it ? are the tickets transferable ? let us know could do a deal.0

It would probably also depend on the reasons. Are they medical reasons for you wanting to cancel or just changed mind/unable to make the dates chosen.
Did you not read the terms and conditions?
Did you pay by credit card? If so speak to your card issuer and see if there is anything they can do or suggestWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
Thanks for the replies.
I'm pretty sure they are transferrable so that may be an option.
I'll look into what the card issuer can do but probably nothing.

I would have thought they were transferrable. Advertise on works notice boards and offer to pay the transfer fee or try ebay!!

Hi,
Have you checked the companys booking conditions. Normally most tour ops give a 7 day cooling off period ?
Taken travel insurance ?? You can get that money back of the insurance premium as long as the tour operator are covered by ABTA. Any insurance policy sold through a T/O covered by ABTA give a 14 day cooling off period
If this doesnt work then contact Trading standards and ABTA , See what they say

I don't think they'll have much to say at all, to be honest. Generally, if a trip is non-refundable, that's just what it is, except generally in the case of sickness or death...0
