Google chrome playing up

Been happening for a few days now,
  • if I use the back button it takes me back 2 pages on any site I've visited
  • the mouse won't highlight the text properly (if I wanted to copy and paste for example)
  • and can't click on a drop down bar to select anything as it flashes soooo quickly between the drop down list and whatever the original one was.

I could reinstall it again but I'd lose all my bookmarks:(

Any ideas what the problem might be and how to rectify it welcome

u can export and save the bookmarks. and then install from scratch and import said bookmarks .

if the prob does reappear could be a potential virus? run malwarebytes (free) and see what that finds .

Thanks guys, tried deleting the cache and history and it hasn't helped as I've just tried to copy and paste the link above and I can't 'catch' all of it! so will type that link in and re install.

I've scanned the computer using all the usual anti virus software and nothing found so just one of those things I guess.
