Mysterious boiler leak

I currently have two buckets underneath my boiler to catch about 2 litres per day of water. This started a few days ago and after ringing round plumbers, we have a weeks wait as a minimum.
In the meantime, I decided to remove the front just to see if I can work out which bit inside is leaking. All of the pipes are dry and covered in dust. The water seems to be pooling along the front edge but it's a complete mystery as to where it is coming from. It is a large Ariston boiler with am 8 litre water tank inside but the tank is dry around the sides and underneath.
It is most bizarre. Any plumbers out there who may have any ideas on what else I can check?

If there's no sign of any internal pipework etc leaking, then is it a condensing boiler at all?
Wondering if water is condensing & not draining properly.0 -
Is the boiler losing pressure?
If not it will be on the hot or cold pipes (if a combi) or as said above, on the condensing pipes if a condensing boiler.0 -
My boiler is not condensing and it has always had a problem of losing pressure. It was an existing boiler that I inherited when I moved in over 5 years ago. PLumbers rate it as a good boiler0
