Private car insurance whilst having company car

Hi all,
I need to insure my private car and have 3 years no claims on a company car. Who will insure me? Some insurers are saying that they will accept a letter from the company but i have to be no longer insured on the company car!

Do you have sole use of both vehicles? If so it might be worth approaching the co car insurers to see if they will give a starter bonus on vehicle 2.

If you don't have sole use, then why can't the other driver insurer the private car if it's a spouse/girlfriend etc?

I have sole use of company vehicle but my girlfriend is learning in the private car.

All these insurers say they accept company NCD but only if i havent got the car anymore!

Is your girlfriend going to be the main user of the private car when she passes her test? If so you will need to disclose this to insurers and the premium will be based on her age and experience. They are also unlikely to give a starter bonus.

Please do not try to hide this information from them as otherwise you will be fronting the cover which means trying to get insurance at a cheaper price than it should be by hiding material facts and can lead you into all sorts of issues.
