Best way to dispose of unwanted vehicle

Hi there

A friend and I were looking into the legalities of getting rid of an old 1993 car with 250k miles. It isn't needed now, looks a wreck, and ran off red diesel, so the engine's getting it tight. Ideally we'd like to roll it down a steep public hill and into a wall; but were also thinking of the gasolene / fireworks / gunpowder and coal option(s). Is it legal to blow the vehicle up or to deliberately crash it?

    ???
Drive it into a scrap yard.
    Walk out with £150 cash.

    Profit.

Or else ebay with no reserve.

Don't set fire to it, you'll just pollute. Cars have horrific things in them when they burn. Not good for the environment or your karma. They get recycled if you scrap them.
  • What about 6 propane cylinders in boot / back seats with firework rack out of sunroof?

    WOuld look cool I suppose.

But those propane cannisters are probably worth another £20 to the tin merchant.
  • contact your local fire brigade and ask if they need any vehicles for training, they normally have a scrap merchant who collects, and sends off the scrapped paperwork and they get to cut it up/burn it etc

    *yes i have done this*

  • I'd rather publicly destroy it but cops might get me if I roll it down a public hill whilst on fire.
