I haven't received a gas bill!

I live in rented accomodation and the gas bill is in the landlord's name.
Just before I moved in (6 months ago), there was some dispute about a (large) gas bill which has now been apparently rectified.
But, no more gas bills have arrived since then. My concern is that, once one eventually turns up, it will be very expensive.

Has anyone else had any similar problems?
(Could it be a ploy from the gas company to prevent us switching suppliers?)

I haven't had any contact/dealings with the gas company so far.
So, should I
a) do nothing
or
b) contact the gas company and find out what's going on?

Any advice appreciated!

You should contact the gas company, register the account in your name and give them the meter reading from the date you moved in.

It is unlikely they will discuss your landlord's account with you due to the data protection act.
