I have recently read many comments on how good this type of cover is as it covers Boiler and Central Heating Breakdown.
Be aware this cover is only effective if you can prove that you have maintained the Boiler and System to the manufacturer's recommendation and have had an annual service. Without this proof the policy is worthless. (Read the small print)
To achieve these policy requirements it will cost more than a typical Boiler Breakdown cover with Homeserve or dare I say BG.

Its not just for that though.
If you were to get a leak, a broken window or any type of emergency. Imagine you dont have it...xmas day coming up. Sods law you know what will happen.
That isnt to say i suggest you have it or not, its down to the individual.
Personally im quite confident when it comes to things like that as i was always roped into little jobs around the house as a kid and leartn a lot from it - so me £30-40 a year is better in my pocket. But not everyone is confident enough to do it, capable of doing it or can be bothered. In that case its probably £30-40 a year well spent.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
