Jobfinder365.com Scam???

Options
Hi

I need advice, i was made redundant from my job in september and have been frantically looking for work as it is getting to the point where i can no longer afford my mortgage. I applied for a Database Administrator position and was called by a company called Jobfinder365 to say that i would need the correct training to be suitable for the job which they could provide for £79 per month. They took me through the website and explained the training to me, they also said that if i dont get a job in that sector within 5 weeks of the course ending then i would get a full refund of all monies paid for the course. The woman asked for my card details but i said i would need to speak to my partner first before i did anything. She is calling me back tomorrow but im not sure what to do it sounds like a scam and the website has only been in operation since september 2011, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Typing "Jobfinder365" into Google, suggests SCAM to me.

Definitely sounds like a scam to me. To prey on people who are desperate for a job makes the whole thing even more disgusting. Good luck in your search, but I wouldn't touch this 'scheme' no matter what they say.

When I was job seeking last year I got an e-mail from some company that was offering to review my CV, great I thought. After a little digging it seems that would do this for a small charge of £3K or so!!!

  • the company is a SCAM! dont sign up. make sure to cancel your card and inform your bank.
  • You dont require training to apply for jobs the company that you are applying to will decide if you are suitable. I was made redundant in may and have since found a good job thanks to putting my searchable CV - without full address ie name and area only - no DOB - just the facts onto cvlibary and jobsite co .uk - you will get called by recruitment agencies but none should ask for payment from you as they get paid from the companies. There should be local job fairs where some agencies will look at your cv for free - they will basically take you details to add to their bank of possibles to send to employers. Wales has a free government agency to help you find jobs training Career Wales - not sure if equivalent is avail in England. Good luck with your search.
