Writing Up Business Plan For A Website

Am thinking of setting up my own online business, but would like to know how you assemble a website business plan to present to your Jobcentre Business Advisor? I presume you'd need to put in things like how you propose to promote the site, cost of web hosting. But is there anything else I should be aware of?

You can normally get a template and great advice on how to produce a business plan from a site such as Business Link. It should be a very comprehensive document about marketing, costs, competitors, risks, etc.
  • Hi Truegho

    Good advice from BigAunty

I went on the business link website and used it to write a business plan for myself.
Very comprehensive and requires a lot more detail than you may think!
It got me through the document in good stead and what i would say is that it really makes you think about your business and where the potential risks lie as well as the rewards.
Importantly, when writing a business plan, you dont have to hide the risks. What lenders want to see is that the risks have been identified and there are things in place to limit them to a point where they will hopefully not cause disruption to your business. A good business strategy should cover all bases and be realistic about the business as a whole.

    Good luck!
