My daughter has been given a webcam wiithout a drivers disc. We don't know what make the webcam is, all we have is a serial number; ( S/N044420858) I have tried a google search for a serial number recognising site but have no success, Windows recognising it as a USB device but that is as far as I can get it. Is there any way we can install this?

whats the make of it when the new hardwhere detected comes up click automatically seach0

that sounds rather difficult. you will only be able to get drivers off the internet with details about the device.0

Bit difficult without even knowing the make. Serial number will be unique and will only be relevant to the company internally. Maybe you could post a photo of it and maybe someone will recognise it. Is there any other writing on it at all?"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

If you go into Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager and right click the Webcam Icon (Should have a Yellow !) select reinstall driver and choose the option that lets windows use the internet to search for a driver
should work
if not if you could list any other numbers on the webcam would help or even a picture
have a look here http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm?countryid=18&languageid=1&page=downloads/categories&CRID=307
does t look like any of these
May be a logitech0 -

It's not one of them.Have actually got no idea how old it is either. It wont let me on the net to search for drivers, even though it initially gives that option. It then goes on to "install from specific location" which obviously I havn't got.0 -

Can you post a picture of it? Someone might recognise it.
