Or.......if the gift does not have to be given on Xmas day - Hotel Chocolat' will have a lot of the festive boxes at half price on Boxing Day.
Mean? - perhaps, but this is a money saving site!:)0 -
Both Tesco and Sainsbury's have Lindt Lindor boxes on offer:
2x200g boxes of assorted, white chocholate, extra dark chocolate, milk chocolate truffles or irish cream for £6.00 (usual price is £4.50 each)
OR
1x337g box of the same for £4.66 (usual price is £7.00 each)
Swiss chocolate, particularly Lindt, is the best, IMHO

Hello I got some of these for £5 in Home Bargains at the weekend with a March 2012 on them

Ooh! I can't say I've heard of Home Bargains, but they're not much more (£6 - officially half price) on the Thornton's website. Good suggestion, thanks...0 -
I've just bought 2 giant Lindt Lindor balls today from Tesco, reduced from £14.99 to £9.99 .......they are like a giant red truffle and inside is a clear plastic ball holding 44 truffles (all same kind - milk choc truffles) when opened the ball becomes a bowl for holding them. Thought they would make a couple of nice presents and a novelty at the same time. Hopefully I have loaded a couple of pics for you to see.

Hotel Chocolat are pricey, but you are paying for quality. If you've signed up to Quidco, you can get 11% cash back through them, plus there are offers on at the moment, one of which is if you spend £30, as well as the cash back, you get 10% off. Hope this helps with your chocolate hunting dilemma!! ;-)0

Argh! I don't believe it! I nearly ordered a load of Thornton's continental chocolates - £19.99, reduced to £9.99! By the time I'd found my address book to decide where to send them (they can be dispatched individually to different addresses), the price had doubled to what it was before!
Sigh... I still managed to get the 3 for 2 deal on the classics range. Unfortunately I don't want a multiple of 3 boxes, so I under-ordered in the hope that I won't see some people till after Christmas and can get their chocs in the sales!0 -
Thorntons Premium Collection (473g) - instead of £12.00 - £5.50! in Sainsbury's
Thorntons Classic Collection (660g) - £3.99 at Tesco
Lindt Selection Box (445g) - £8.65 at Sainbury's
enjoy

Based exclusively on taste, one of my favourite chocolates are Lidl's seashells. They are as good as the belgian ones, in my opinon.
They are great presents (like many other things from Lidl) for people who are too stuck up to shop there and would never know.
Another great present for such people are Lidl's italian Pandoro and Panettone cake (they are the real Italian thing, not the other supermarkets rubbish, because Lidl have to sell them in Italy too, so have to be good...)
I like telling people that my favourite supermarkets for buying yummy food are waitrose and lidl, they can't process the two in the same sentence...

Thorntons Continental are truly yummy. You`ll have to buy them from the Thorntons shop as i`ve never seen the continental range in supermarkets.0
