Good quality chocolates - any good offers...?

I'm being lazy this year and buying everyone I know a box of chocolates for Christmas!

So... does anyone know of any good deals for quality chocolates (e.g. not Nestle or Cadbury's; I'm thinking Thornton's quality or better)? Ideally around £8/box or less.

I saw an advert for M&S recently. I think they had Belgian chocs for half-price. Are they any good? Are there any better offers out there?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Ooh! I like the look of their classics range - £12.99 for 630g, 3 for 2x price, so effectively £8.60 for multiples of three boxes...

I've just signed up to their email list - no mention of a fiver off, but here's hoping!

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Asda has lots of boxes of chocolates on 3 for £10. As well as the usual suspects it includes some Thorntons and Gulyian.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Do a forum search for Thorntons. SomeoNe recently posted a great deal but I already have bought chocs for Xmas so had to resist temptation!
  • Asda have the baileys truffle boxes 3 for £10 i'm going to buy some, i love these, also they have the £5 baileys boxes, with all the flavours, i have tried these and am not a fan, but prob because the box contained coffee ones and dark choc, which i don't like.

I think I'll go for the Thorntons Classics. At £12.99/630g and "buy 3 for the price of 2", that's effectively £13.75/kg, which isn't bad.

Thanks for all the suggestions! :T
  • Hotel chocolate for the best chocolates full stop. Not cheap though, so if money is a big factor - any generic household brand like Thorntons, I guess.

Wow. They are pricey, but they do look good. Maybe a bit over what I was intending to spend...

Thornton's chocolates might be a bit "average" compared to some of the higher-end chocolatiers, but I'm not sure if Granny and Auntie Flo will be able to tell the difference, to be honest! I'd spend a bit more it they were for me! (Is that really mean?)

I was actually intending to get the chocs from a company in the Channel Islands who make the nicest chocolates I've ever tried (not much more expensive than Thornton's, either). Unfortunately they've ignored my emails, so I'm hesitant to order from them over the web, which is a shame.
