Belling cooker

I bought a dual fuel Belling cooker just over a year ago. On the day before the guarantee ran out the plastic knob for the main electric fan oven broke at the spindle. On phoning Belling they immediately agreed to send out 6 spares! When I queried this I was told that I would have 5 more spares having fitted the replacement one! All 6 knobs on the front are the same.

This was about a month ago and since then 3 more have broken on the same oven switch. It is not tight or needing force to make it work. What would you advise me to do? Do I get onto Belling yet again or contact the shop who sold it to me?

I contacted Belling originally because this is what the handbook required me to do. Am I getting into not fit for purpose?

Leffe:(

  • Belling are crap, i bought a dual range one 3 years ago & one week after guarantee ran out one of the oven doors does not shut properly then 3 of the knobs have melted, i thought they were steel  & to top it off the glass lid exploded into thousands of peices  i called belling & they said it was my fault, it was toughened safety glass & i told them it must have been faulty & what if my grandchildren had been there, belling was worse than useless, i would never buy another one off them, after guarantee runs out a lot of folk renew with insurance company, they usually send out letters before hand & belling usually give you their no. I never did get glass replaced too expensive, hope you get sorted.
