It depends on how far you have to travel to get to the ferry. It is a VERY long trip and I would personally fly then rent a car. I would say a car is essential around Jersey because it doesn't take long to get around there and you can cover the whole island in a short space of time. Not sure I would want to go for 2 weeks though!! But then you could always do day trips to neighbouring islands and France. Most of Jersey is quite quiet so wherever you stay will be OK. St Helier is the only main shopping place. Lots of nice pubs and restaurants, esp. if you like Seafood. Have fun, it's a nice place.0

I went last February for 3 days and loved it. We stayed in a family run B&B in St Hellier (SP). We were advised to take the bus everywhere we went as the islanders want to keep down traffic and polution. The bus's were very cheap and go everywhere.
We went to a pottery place (sorry cant remember the name) and just got on and off the bus when we fancied it.
There is a shopping high street so if your looking for anything take a look as its tax free! We brought our wedding rings. :j
Have fun, as we would go back.0
