Tesco direct store collection order tracking

It cant just be me that this has happened to..
All of my orders from Tesco direct over the last month have failed
to update on their website to show as ready for collection from the store.
All have made it to the store, one was even cancelled and refunded due to
being out of stock, but it was there to collect :rotfl: but you have to go
phoning up 0845 numbers that costs a small fortune from a mobile to see if
your order has been delivered, or you have to make a wasted journey to the
store to check if its there.
now the cynic in me says that Tesco are doing it on purpose so they rake in
the £££ from those good old 0845's
So that's my moan for the day, Tesco direct order tracking is complete pants :mad:

They get paid pennies per minute on their 0845 number versus their staff which will cost anything from £6.08 upwards per hour (plus employer NI contributions + holiday ect), so probably just a poor system in place0

Have you given them your mobile number?
I got a text when my order was ready last week.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
When the parcel arrives in store they have to scan it in to accept it, which then automatically sends you a text to say its ready to pick up. If there is something wrong with the system, for instance, the scanner is broken, there isn't a way to trigger the text message. Another option to call the shop (although not free from mobiles) is to call the 0800 505555, its customer services and ask to be put through to whichever store you are trying to contact.0
