Hi everybody, hope you can help we are looking for a decent fairly cheap hotel in Dublin. We want to be fairly central and the dates are 22/02.2007 to 25/02/2007. Also this our first time visiting Dublin and would appreciate any tips for restaurants and interesting tours. thanks

We're going to Dublin on Saturday and are staying in a 2 star hotel which cost us £89 for the night - its on the corner of Talbot Street and Lower Gardiner Street which is very central for everything really. Close to the bus station, O'Connell street, Temple Bar etc.
Its a hotel called O'sheas and has a restaurant and put also.0 -
There's a good sorted list here:

If you want to focus on the central hotels, go to...

...and zoom in on the city centre, by adjusting the scale in the top left.0 -
I'm going to Dublin at the end of February: I used http://www.hotelscomparison.com, and just entered Dublin and the dates I was staying: I managed to get 3 nights 3* with breakfast for 2 at a central Dublin hotel (the Best Western Ashling) for just under £40 a night for both of us (£119 in all), which I was pleased with.

We stayed at Jurys Inn on Parnell Street for about £60 a night for a triple room. Its just around the corner from O'Connel Street so we were able to walk everywhere. Breakfast wasn't included in the price though.
The food in the bar was very good but we didn't have breakfast.

I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W
I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere, as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.
Hope that helps0 -
thanks everybody i have tried hotel comparison recently but all city centre hotels price between £350/500 but will keep trying all suggested sites.Have only posted once before so hope ive done it correctly0

Hi there,
It's a rugby weekend, Ireland are playing England, so staying anywhere close to the centre will be expensive. Dublin will be heaving.... Best bet would be to look outside the city centre.0 -
Stayed here twice (and have posted on MSE about it before) - can't fault it for price or location, or the niceness of the staff. Right on the edge of Temple Bar, clean, and run by a very nice Chinese family.

Another recomendation for laterooms.com - the price quoted is for the room not a per person price!0
