I bought a 2nd hand Laptop from a Computer shop back on Sept 27th and there seems to be a problem with the software on the Laptop which needs looking at as can not use it till this problem has been fixed.
but here comes the problem 1st of all he gave me a Hand written receipt and did not put the date on it and he said we get a 3 month guarantee with is but he has not out the date of sale on receipt just the cost and the laptop name.
Do i have a leg to stand on with this? and if he says he can not do anything as no date on receipt what should my next move be? as i want it fixed but fear im going to have problems with it.
i can prove the date i got it and on the laptop it has the dates that things were installed onto it and there are things that i installed with that date on it.
any help please guys.

Why dont you call him and see what he says first? All too often people come on here gearing up for an argument only to have the retailer repair with no problem

You could also try asking on the techie board, they may be able to advise you what the issue is (if its justa software conflict should be easy enough to fix). You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
If goods are faulty you don't need a receipt, you just need proof of purchase.0

If it's a problem with the software then it's not broken or faulty, it has a software issue and they aren't normally covered by warranty.0
